Exceptionnal Tour of Chantilly
Upcoming exceptional visits to the Domaine de Chantilly
Saturday August 1 at 10 a.m.
Located in a preserved natural setting, near Paris, the Domaine de Chantilly is one of the jewels of French heritage.
With a 115 hectare park, a castle museum and the Grandes Ecuries considered to be the most beautiful in Europe, Chantilly is a Culture and Nature destination par excellence ...
I will show you, first of all, the castle transformed over the centuries and enlarged in the 19th century by its illustrious owners: the Constable Anne de Montmorency, the Bourbon-Condé then Henri of Orleans, Duke of Aumale.
You will admire the collections of art, books and furniture as well as the Condé museum, the 2nd art painting museum after the Louvre, with its 550 paintings among which Raphaël, Poussin, Watteau, Ingres, Delacroix ...
I will then take you to the park and the French gardens of Le Nôtre decorated with its prestigious water basins and bordered by Anglo-Chinese gardens which bear witness to more than 500 years of history.
Finally, we will end our visit with the presentation of the 18th century Grandes Ecuries, a real palace for horses and its internationally renowned equestrian shows.
You can also independently visit the horse museum or explore the area around the racetrack, one of the most prestigious racetracks in France with its famous Grand Prix de Diane.
Don't forget to taste the Crème Chantilly!
